Red and Cream Colored Vintage DANGLE BAKELITE BROOCH Pin. VERY UNIQUE DECO design!! Top part of brooch looks like a PRETZEL SHAPE on both sides. Measures 3” x 2”. Has great PATINA and when examined with a jeweler’s loupe, shows the scratches and wear typical of vintage Bakelite. Shipped with USPS First Class. There is a C clasp on the back of the brooch which is somewhat loose (please see photo). NOTE: The C CLASP is also indicative that this is a VINTAGE PIECE of jewelry. Looks like if the clasp were clamped tighter, the pin might stay in place better, but I am no jeweler and didn’t want to force it or alter it in any way - will leave that up to any potential buyer. There is a tiny little dark mark at the top of the left “pretzel” which lends to the patina in my opinion. Tested under hot water and definitely had that DISTINCT CHEMICAL SMELL diagnostic for Bakelite. Please let the pictures guide you and ask any questions you may have before bidding.
